When Katarina Bennett took a job as a governess wanting a life do over she never expected to find she was going to be dealing with wolvers. Of course she didn't know they existed but so goes it.

When Alpha Charles Good man realizes Kat is his true mate, he is torn in different directions. He knows she is his, but with a newish pack and it has not been a smooth transition. As Kat and Charles begin to build a life together, it is met with acceptance by most but there are some that want Kat out of the way and Charles has to keep his wits about him to keep her safe.

I liked this one, had a bit of a gothic feel but with a modern day twist. I can always be guaranteed an entertaining read with Jacqueline Rhodes, her books are always a fresh take of the shifter series and filled with interesting characters who you can't get enough of.
This book is lovely, really lovely and if it is possible my favourite from this author. There is such a human element to all the characters particularly the 'wolvers', and it is this aspect that connects us and has us fall in love with the story. Kat is so willing to give of herself and accept not just Charles but the parts of his life that would make a normal person run. She stops to evaluate and then acknowledge even if she doesn't agree. The brutality is a part of the wolver nature but there is a choice, there is always a choice to be made and a choice that benefits the family (pack if you like)must be respected. This book is a little different in that Charles doesn't really fight against the whole 'mate' thing. This links us to the previous book and shows he has taken things on board. He tells Kat he wants to see where it will take them. This is so incredibly romantic and sincere that we follow Kat's and his journey to love with such delight. Then we have the children and of course Buddy. This brings us another path on which to connect because there are so many scenarios that we recognise, and again we have a choice on how to behave. With love comes acceptance and with acceptance there is a chance to flourish. I can't say more as I hate spoilers.
I love reading something that makes me feel good and yet offers action, is exciting, has some pretty hot sex, has humour. makes us reflect on ourselves and is well written. Thanks Jackie!
The Alpha's Choice is book 2 in the series. Each book is better than its predecessor. I really enjoy Jacqueline Rhoades' literary style. Her writing is consistent and characters are individualized. In every story, there is always a point of great intensity that sucks the reader in and hanging on for dear life. Hard press to put this book down. Rhoades is a great visual writer, producing stories that plays like a movie in your head.

The Alpha's Choice has everything a reader wants - family, romance, action, climactic scenes, and hot steamy love making. My only complaint is, like the first book, Rhoades doesn't take the time to fully develop the relationship between the H&h. They fall madly in love rather quickly and perhaps that's the way of the Wolvers. The journey to everlasting love is short with no real obstacles to over come. As a reader, I need more to feel the authenticity of their love otherwise it feels contrived. Yea yea yea, it's a fictitious story but i want some parts to feel real. Don't judge!

After reading all three books, I highly recommend the wolvers compilation. Overall, it's a great story, well written with few grammatical errors. The action more than makes up for the condensed courtship between the lead characters.
Been looking at the cover read the description of book. Passed it buy few times finally decided to buy. The blurb for the book was what finally made me decide to buy. Even if it is book 2 the way it was written you do not feel you skipped book 1. I have since bought the first one. .All the characters besides Charles and Kat are well written and blend in very well. We have heroes . A villian naturally what a book like this witout one of course it wasn't who thought it would be but a great choice by the author. Their are others mentioned that we don't meet in this book but I feel will show later .
